Rune Posts are blocks that can make a specific type of runes.

Obtaining

All rune posts can be harvested through a Silk Touch pickaxe.

All rune posts are exclusive to creative mode.

Usage

Rune Posts are used to make runes of the corresponding type. To make runes, the player must use Unpowered Runes or Charged Runes on the rune post block. This will consume the Unpowered/Charged Runes, and begin the process of making Runes. A series of particles will fly up out of the rune post, and after a few moments, runes that correspond to the rune post will appear floating in the air. Multiple Runes can be converted at once in a Rune Post.

The amount of time it takes for a Rune Post to convert Runes is based on the formula 20 * (3 + (stackSize * runeType)/10). The stackSize refers to the number of Runes in the Rune Post, and runeType is 1 for unpowered runes and 2 for charged runes. E.G. converting a stack of Charged Runes takes 316 ticks, or 15.8 seconds.

If Unpowered Runes were used on the Rune Post, the amount of converted Runes gained will match the amount of Unpowered Runes used. If Charged Runes were used, the amount of converted Runes gained will be double the amount of Charged Runes used. Posts can only make runes if there is empty space above the rune post block (though the player can place a block above the rune post after the process of making a rune has been started).
