The Nether is a fiery, hellish dimension.

Overview

The Nether is a dimension in vanilla Minecraft. Within Advent of Ascension, it is under allegiance to the god Erebon. Advent of Ascension adds several new mobs and a couple new structures to the Nether that can be very dangerous and rewarding.

Generation

The landscape of the Nether is cave-like, sealed off at the top and at the bottom by Bedrock. It is covered in fire and lava and contains several steep cliffs, making it hard to navigate some areas of the dimension. Towards y = 31, there is a lava sea.

Fire Rune Shrine

The Fire Rune variant of the Rune Shrine can also spawn in the Nether.

The Nether has 12 mobs, nine of which are added by Advent of Ascension. They are all very dangerous.
