Merkyres are hostile melee mobs that spawn in Merkyre Towers in Dustopia.
Spawning
Merkyre Towers
Merkyres will spawn continuously from the two Merkyre Spawners generated within each Merkyre Tower.
Behavior
Merkyres are melee mobs that will follow targets both on land and in water. They will initially attempt to avoid getting into the water where possible, but will go in if they find no other path to their target.
They are aggressive, and will attack nearby players within 16 blocks without provocation. If attacked by another entity, they will retaliate and continue targeting that entity.
Staying outside of their targeting range will prevent them from attacking or targeting entities.
Unique Abilities
When hit, Merkyres release a cloud of particles that last for 1.5 seconds, inflicting Blindness for 3 seconds on any player that wander into it. These clouds do not affect Merkyres themselves.
Hunter Mob
Merkyres are Hunter creatures that can only be damaged if the player is at level 83 or higher. When killed, they will grant 1.755,3 Hunter xp.
