Cotton Candor is the boss of Candyland. He is very difficult and can be one of the most lethal bosses in Nevermine if you have failed to get the proper equipment. To summon Cotton Candor, the player must use a Treat Bag on a Candy Block.

Boss Information

Cotton Candor hovers above the ground, his feet changing color. Cotton Candor is immune to almost all weapons, but is vulnerable to the most basic of Staves.

The staff Cotton Candor is weak to depends on his current color. The staves that can be used against him are the Wind, Water, Fire, Poison, Wither, Lunar, Noxious, and Underworld Staves. File:HunterAtt.png Cotton Candor will only drop his hunter experience if the player is hunter level 30 or over. If the player is under hunter level 30 then the player will not receive any experience. This boss drops 3,500 xp. It should be noted that the player cannot be under level 30 because the Treat Bag requires the killing of Cane Bugs which are level 55 hunter mobs.

Behavior

Cotton Candor has two attacks. He has a ramming attack, where he charges at the player, doing high damage. He can also fire pink and blue explosive projectiles, which explode upon impact. Because the Cotton Candy Tower stands high in the sky and is quite small, Cotton Candor can easily knock the player off.

Strategies

It is recommended that the player visits Vox Ponds and obtains the Noxious Staff before challenging Cotton Candor. The Noxious Staff does about 40-50 damage to him as opposed to regular staves which only do about 5. As an alternative, the player can also go to Barathos to get an Underworld Staff, which shoots a series of projectiles that rack up high damage in a short period of time. Players can also bring both staves.

Players should wear a full set of Explosive Armor to protect themselves from his one attack. Before starting the battle, it is recommended that the player builds an expansion to the Cotton Candy Tower, to both prevent the player from falling off and to allow more space to work with. Players should also build walls to guarantee the player doesn't fall off. The player should have all of the staves that can be used (if the player has the Noxious Staff, then the player won't need to bring the Poison Staff. If the player has the Underworld Staff, then the player won't need to bring the Fire Staff).

Giving each staff the Archmage enchantment is a good idea but not necessary. This will halve the staff's rune cost. This will save the player a lot of time and resources. However, since the Archmage enchantment requires level 85 Infusion to get, it may be easier to simply stock of runes (unless the player already has that high of an Infusion level).

Drops

Cotton candor's armor drops are exclusive. That means you will get only 1 armor piece per kill, along with the respective statue of this boss.

When killed, this boss always drops its stone statue version.

Trivia

  • The music that plays as Cotton Candor's boss theme is Exit the Premises by Kevin MacLeod.
