The Admin noticeboard is one way through which users can notify administrators of issues needing administrative attention. While users are welcome to directly contact specific administrators (especially if they are seen to be active), posting here can be an easier and quicker way of ensuring that at least one admin will notice an issue and respond to it promptly. Remember to sign (using four tildes: ~~~~) when posting an issue.

Before posting an issue here, please consider the following:

  • This page is for reporting wiki issues. Please post discussions on the talk page.
  • Post only issues that require administrative action, i.e. blocking vandals, protecting pages, restoring deleted pages etc.
  • Do not post deletion requests here. Deletion requests should be made by adding {{delete}} to the top of the target page, which will then automatically mark the page as a candidate for deletion.
  • Do not post issues regarding content disputes. Try making a request for comment instead.
  • Mediation requests between users should only be made once a resolution could not be reached between users.
  • For issues regarding the use of this wiki, please see our help center.

In case of vandalism, posting about it here is low priority. Revert it first, anyone can do so. If the vandal created a new page, tag it for deletion. Assume good faith and consider leaving a message on that user's talk page to explain the reason. Post here only if the user has made several disruptive edits and/or persists despite a warning. Always avoid a revert war with the vandal; it is far better to wait until an admin has a chance to intervene. If a user must be reported here, please use {{user}}, preferably as the topic subject/headline.

IP blocks

An IP address is an unreliable identificator and may correspond to multiple users, hence they shouldn’t be permablocked so it won’t permablock constructive anonymous editors from editing. The abuser may sooner or later do away with the wiki anyway. — NickTheRed37, Agent of M.C.W. (talk) 14:56, 23 June 2015 (UTC)

Our standard practice is to block IP addresses for 2 weeks at most. I also think Nick meant that the abuser will most likely change IP address, not "do away with the wiki" — Game widow (talk) 15:05, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
No, I meant what I said. --NickTheRed37, Agent of M.C.W. (talk) 15:10, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
I doubt that there is a high chance of an IP address that corresponds to multiple users as this is a wiki for a mod. While it does have a lot of views and comments on the forums, much of it is because the thread was modified from the Divine RPG thread. Although, as you say it is standard practice to IP block for 2 weeks at most, I will do that for any following blocks. I would probably set permablock after they grief twice on the same address though. --AreaOfMobeus (talk) 09:27, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
Persistent vandalism from a given address is fine, but blocks on one wiki affect all of gamepedia, so if a user complains about not being able to edit on another wiki, due to this block, we will still be obliged to reverse it — Game widow (talk) 12:18, 25 June 2015 (UTC)

CopyRight

Hello there to the admins of this gamepedia or wiki. I am Lol123lol and may I ask permission to copy some of your information. I will paraphrase them and give the link to the page. Anyways, I will only copy the mobs portion. -Lol123lol- (not logged in)

The Administrators of this wiki are AreaOfMobeus and Xolova. I think they would also be interested to know where you want to copy the information — Game widow (talk) 13:17, 24 November 2015 (UTC)

I know that but this is the admin noticeboard so they should've seen this. And I'm too shy to do that. :| -Lol123lol- (not logged in)

If you want to ask them that, you better off doing it through the forums, the admins on this wiki aren't exactly...active. -EatingSilencerforBreakfast (talk) 20:23, 25 November 2015 (UTC)

If they have not answered with their particular concerns, then look to our site license, which is CC-by-NC-SAGame widow (talk) 20:42, 25 November 2015 (UTC)

Thanks guys. I will do that. -Lol123lol- (not logged in)

Will you allow me guys to do such? -Lol123lol- (not logged in)

Creating page

I have problems with creating russian translation for main page. (http://adventofascension.gamepedia.com/Advent_of_Ascension_Wiki/ru)

Here is code: http://pastebin.com/c18F7274 –Preceding unsigned comment was added by Candarush (talkcontribs) 13:06, 4 July 2016‎ (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Hello. It’s apparently due to the abuse filter. Your code has an external link, meanwhile you are considered a “new user” (you have too few edits). This is meant to disallow creating of spam pages by newly registered users (external links can be misused to link to a 3rd-party site with intent to advertise it).
P. S. Russian translation? Isn’t it better to document the mod in Russian on the Russian Minecraft Wiki instead?
P. P. S. Я тоже по-русски разговариваю. Здравствуйте. — NickTheRed37, Agent of M.C.W. (talk) 13:46, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
Спасибо за помощь! Почему делаю здесь? Мне проще брать английский вариант и переводить, чем пытаться выдумать из головы информацию о Nevermine, тем более я могу чего-нибуть не знать, а на официальной вики уж точно ничего не упущено. Candarush (talk) 18:18, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
Nothing forbids us to copy information from each other. It’s just the templates and style that differ, plus a notice about where the info was obtained (that’s required by the license). :) \ Ничто не запрещает нам скопировать информацию друг у друга. Только шаблоны и стиль будут другие, и ещё необходимо будет указать, откуда взята информация (требования лицензии). :)
Anyway, I’m not sure about what will have more official status among descriptions of a mod on the language that differs from original: information about the mod on the main wiki about the game itself on the language in question, or a language section (or even just project) on the mod’s official wiki. Very probably this will depend on mod maker’s preferences. This is what I asked XolovA for here.
— NickTheRed37, Agent of M.C.W. (talk) 13:39, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
If you want to create a wiki within Russian version, you can tell administrator and make an application for this website address: http://adventofascension-ru.gamepedia.com/Advent_of_Ascension_Wiki, just like Chinese version of this wiki: http://adventofascension-zh.gamepedia.com/Advent_of_Ascension_Wiki 22zhuyansong (talk) 11:58, 14 October 2017 (UTC)22zhuyansong

About Xolova

I want to donate for Xolova, but I can't log in because of captcha. I want to donate for him with PayPal, but my credit card isn't appropriate. Can you tell me how can I donate for him? And can you tell me how can Xolova update new versions for this mod? 22zhuyansong (talk) 11:56, 14 October 2017 (UTC)22zhuyansong
