Tyrosaur (also known as the Earthquake Creator) is a powerful boss in Precasia. Tyrosaur's main gimmick is its ability to create powerful, lethal earthquakes.

Spawning[edit | edit source]

Tyrosaur can currently be spawned by using a Bone Horn on a Tyrosaur Altar. It will despawn if the player gets too far away from him, or if the difficulty is set to Peaceful.

Behavior[edit | edit source]

Tyrosaur will pursue players that come within 16 blocks of him. It is a melee boss, whose main attack is creating powerful earthquakes. It has the attributes of Bow and Gun Immunity.

Earthquakes[edit | edit source]

Whenever the player is within 35 blocks on any axis of Tyrosaur (excluding in the air), Tyrosaur will stomp his feet against the ground, creating a powerful earthquake every 5 seconds. All players touching the ground when the earthquake happens will receive 10 (Heart.png×5) damage each. The damage done by the earthquake ignores armor, Resistance, and Absoption buffs, making them extremely deadly.

Charging[edit | edit source]

If the player is within 40 blocks of Tyrosaur on any axis, Tyrosaur has a 1 in 135 chance every tick to utilize a charge attack where he runs really fast and jumps behind the player. He will only use this attack the first two seconds after creating an earthquake.

Strategies[edit | edit source]

The player should bring a Rejuvenation Staff and Coral Staff to the battle. The player could bring a Kaiyu Staff to prepare for his charging attack, but keep in mind it will not protect against his earthquakes. Lunar Armor or Commander Armor are both good choices for armor.

During the fight, the player should jump a lot. This is why Lunar Armor is handy, it heals the player while they jump. Sticking to the ground during the whole fight is absolutely not recommended, as the player will have to take too much time healing with the Rejuvenation Staff to put hits into Tyrosaur. Using the Coral Staff and then the Rejuvenation Staff is a great idea, because it provides one extra hit against Tyrosaur's earthquake (which can be easily replenished).

You will be able to hear a unique sound that plays before Tyrosaur unleashes an earthquake. If you time it right, you can completely dodge the earthquake and take no damage.
