The Overworld is the dimension the player spawns in. Advent of Ascension adds in an enormous amount of content to the overworld.
Contents
Additions[edit | edit source]
Advent of Ascension completely ramps up the overworld's difficulty - the overworld is significantly more challenging than before. The mod adds a new collection of features to the overworld, including events, tribute factions, generation, mobs and more.
Tribute[edit | edit source]
Main article: Tribute
In the overworld, the player has the ability to give tribute for a specific god faction by completing certain tasks. Tribute given is indicated by the four grey bars in the left side of the Advent GUI (by default), between the menu and resources, or by the four grey bars between Battle Rage and Energy in the upper right corner of the player's screen (by default). The player can complete certain tasks during the day (not at night) to fill up the bars. Each bar represents a god faction, and each bar is filled up differently. See the tribute article for more information on filling up the bars.
Special messages[edit | edit source]
If the player has received one of the following messages in the chat when day becomes night, that means the player has successfully fulfilled the tribute require for the god faction.
- Selyan rewards you for your tribute.
- Luxon twinkles in approval.
- Erebon is appreciative of your favor.
- Pluton is impressed with your contribution.
- Krasaun is impressed by your equality.
If the player fulfills multiple requirements for different factions, multiple messages will appear in place of the normal nighttime message.
Events[edit | edit source]
Main article: Events
Advent of Ascension adds 7 events to the overworld. Events are a period of time where special mobs can spawn. Events may occur at the beginning of every night or day, and will last for the entire night/day (unless the player logs out - this could cancel the event). A brief synopsis of each event is listed below, listed based on night and day.
- Night Events
- Full Moon Event: occurs when the moon is full. Five mobs have the ability to spawn during this event.
- Blood Hunt Event: has a 20% chance to occur each night. This event brings about 3 blood-colored mobs to the overworld.
- Soul Scurry Event: has a 10% chance to occur each night. 6 ghostly versions of normal mobs will spawn, each being able to drop Ghost Stones.
- Lunar Invasion Event: has a 6.67% chance to occur each night. The event brings 5 new mobs, each with varying abilities that could prove dangerous.
- Day Events
- Death Day Event: has a 4% chance to occur each day. 4 powerful mobs will roam the overworld.
- Creep Day Event: has a 5% chance to occur each day. 1 new mob spawns naturally during this event.
- Big Day Event: has a 5% chance to occur each day. 5 new mobs spawn naturally in different biomes, defeating them will drop raw materials.
Generation[edit | edit source]
Advent of Ascension adds 6 ores to the overworld, one only requires a Stone Pickaxe to mine, while others require Iron or Diamond-level Pickaxes to mine. The mod also adds two structures to the overworld.

Mobs[edit | edit source]
There are many different mobs in the Overworld. Most mobs are themed after the biome they are found in. Excluding bosses, NPCs and utility mobs, there are about 109 mobs in the Overworld. Out of those mobs, 91 of them are added by this mod. Out of those 91 mobs, 5 are rare mobs, 9 are Hunter mobs, 9 spawn underground, 22 spawn at night and 26 are Event mobs.
For simplicity only the Advent of Ascension mobs are shown below. For additional simplicity, they are divided into 4 categories: Surface, Underground, Night, and Events.
