Boss Information[edit | edit source]
The Nethengeic Wither (A.K.A Flying Demon) is one of two Nether bosses in Nevermine. Based off of the Wither, It is the hardest of the two Nether bosses.
It grants 10,000 Hunter experience points when killed.
Behavior[edit | edit source]
The Nethengeic Wither will float around nearby players while firing explosive projectiles from the sky. The projectiles move very quickly and cause medium size explosions. Players or entities that are hit by the projectiles will be inflicted with Wither II for 3 seconds. The Nethengeic Wither will fire the projectiles at a fast rate to all nearby players.
The Nethengeic Wither will become enraged when below half health. The Nethengeic Wither will have massively increased self healing when enraged. This means that if players do not attack the Nethengeic Wither for a period of time while it is enraged it will return to above half health and become not enraged. While enraged, the Nethengeic Wither will shoot faster moving projectiles more frequently.
When the Nethengeic Wither is below 20% health, it becomes 'cataclysmic'. The healing effect still takes place during the cataclysmic form. While in cataclysmic form, the Nethengeic Wither will massively increase its rate of fire of explosive projectiles. These projectiles will also deal 10 bonus damage in cataclysmic form. Just as in the enraged form, if the healing effect causes the Nethengeic Wither to rise above 20% health, the effect will end.
The Nethengeic Wither has the Attributes of Explosion and Magic Immunity.
Strategies[edit | edit source]
The Nethengeic Wither is an extremely dangerous boss in its alternate forms. It is high advised to be wearing Explosive Armor when fighting it due to the amount of explosive attacks. Projectile protection enchantments are also highly recommended to reduce the damage from the actual shots, especially in cataclysmic form.
Any forms of regeneration (either a Rejuvenation Staff or Tablet of Regeneration) are very helpful in order to be able to sustain a decent amount of health over a long period of time, Golden apples don't hurt either.
The Nethengeic Wither should be fought using ranged weapons (using melee weapons is extremely unrealistic) due to the fact that it will usually be in the air. Even if the Nethengeic Wither is in melee range, it is highly advised to increase the range between the Nethengeic Wither and the players because at short range it is likely it will land every attack.
With enchanted Explosive gear on Nethengeic's first form, it doesn't hurt that much but still move around his attacks just in case he traps you with the Nether's mobs. Once you start getting the Wither effect use your regeneration of choice immediately, this is because his wither effects can easily melt threw your protection. Keep spamming your weapon and regeneration until his health gets low. Then try and run and shoot, make sure hes high of the ground. Make sure to check if theirs no lava below him before you defeat him.
Do not kill him when hes near the ground or else you risk his drops getting destroyed by his attacks.
Drops[edit | edit source]
Nethengeic Wither's drops are exclusive. That means you will get only 1 of all possible items per kill, along with the respective statue of this boss.
When killed, this boss always drops its stone statue version.
Note[edit | edit source]
In the latest version, the Nethengeic Wither is strangely neutral to the player but hostile to most other mobs.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
