The Merkyre is a hostile melee mob that spawns in Merkyre Towers in Dustopia. They can only be damaged if the player has Hunter level 79 or higher, and grant 1500 Hunter experience points when killed. They have pitch-black skin and bear a humanoid anatomy, but have spikes protruding from their arms and legs. They also have a head that comes in the shape of a crown of some sort.

Spawning[edit | edit source]

Merkyres can only spawn in a special structure in Dustopia - skyscraping dungeons called Merkyre Towers. They despawn if the player is too far from them or if the difficulty is set to Peaceful. Merkyres can also be spawned using /summon nevermine.Merkyre.

Drops[edit | edit source]

Merkyres will drop experience orbs upon death, but they also have a 20% chance to drop a Primordial Skull. Primordial Skulls can be traded with Primordials in exchange for Primordial Dust - which is needed to summon and challenge the Primordial Five.

Behavior[edit | edit source]

Merkyres will pursue players within a 16 metre (block) radius, but with minimal pathfinding. They will always head straight towards the player, even if they are behind a wall or above/below them. Merkyres can swim, but they will never go below the surface, even if a player or enemy is right underneath them.

Merkyres utilize melee attacks that apply Blindness upon a successful hit. Blindness lasts for 7.5 seconds.
