Usage[ | ]
When the player presses use on a mending table, it will open the mending table GUI. The GUI consists of 3 slots, 2 input slots, and an output slot.
The player can repair items by putting a damaged item in the first input slot (the one farthest to the left), and putting either Magic Repair Dust or Magic Mending Compound in the second input slot (the middle slot). This will repair the item in the first slot by a certain amount, magic repair dust will repair the item by 20% durability per magic repair dust, magic mending compound will repair the item 100% completely. The repaired item will appear in the output slot, the one farthest to the right.
The mending table will respect enchantments, items repaired will maintain any enchantments they had on them previously. Unlike an anvil, no vanilla Minecraft experience is required to repair an item.
Only repairing with magic repair dust and magic mending compounds can be done at the mending table, unlike the anvil. Trying to repair using two damaged items of the same type or with a specific item's ingredient (e.g.: repairing an iron pickaxe with an iron ingot) will not work.
