Exoplate Armor is a Tier 1 armor set obtained by infusing.

Exoplate armor will give additional resistance based on the light level of the area the player is currently in, increasing the darker the light level is. This is separate from the base armor value. The formula for the extra damage reduction is D * (1 - (1 - N / 15) * 0.0625 * P)
, where D is the base damage of an attack, N is light level calculated as the highest of either skylight or blocklight at the given position, and P is the number of armor pieces equipped.
Light level is capped between 2 and 15, and the light level reduction is applied before normal armor calculations. E.G. a 10 (×5)-damage attack is reduced to 7.833 (×3.9165) base damage with a full set of Exoplate at the lowest possible light level, normal armor calculations are applied afterwards.
