Elusive is one of the two bosses currently in The Abyss. Elusive is spawned at a Illusion Altar by using a Staring Eye, which is dropped by Flesh Eaters. Elusive is a very hard and tricky boss to defeat. Elusive can easily kill players who are not properly equipped and don't have previous knowledge of the boss when fighting him.
Behavior[edit | edit source]
Elusive hits players with melee attacks, which do medium damage, but will also inflict blindness and nausea to the player.
Elusive can also turn invisible. The combination of the player being blind, while his target is invisible, makes it almost impossible to land a hit on Elusive.
Furthermore, Elusive can spawn clones of himself, which look exactly like him, but have only 30 (×15) health. When Elusive's clones die, they will explode, similar to Trickster's clones.
Periodically, if looking into the face of Elusive, he will teleport to the player.
Strategies[edit | edit source]
When fighting Elusive, It is recommended that you have a Web Staff, for he will inflict blindness and nausea to the player. It is also recommended using a Rejuvenation Staff to heal the players health against Elusive's (and his clones) melee attacks. Do not run away from him otherwise he will attempt to teleport giving you little chance to recover. Fighting Elusive with ranged weapons is possible but highly not advised as any direct eye contact or turning away from him will cause Elusive to teleport and will have the opportunity to deal a large amount of damage to the player so you are better off using melee weapons such as the Fireborne Sword which will help you keep track of his location due to the fire effect or a Skeletal Sword to deal a large amount of damage to Elusive.
Try to kill Elusive's explosive clones before killing the real Elusive because their explosions can destroy items.
Drops[edit | edit source]
Elusive's drops are exclusive. That means you will get only 1 of all possible items per kill, along with the respective statue of this boss.
When killed, this boss always drops its stone statue version.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
