Desert Chargers are hostile melee mobs that spawn naturally in the Overworld.
Spawning[ | ]
Desert Chargers spawn naturally in desert-type biomes in the Overworld.
They will only spawn during the day, and like most other mobs; their spawning can be prevented by placing torches or other lighting blocks nearby to raise the light level above 7.
Behavior[ | ]
Desert Chargers are melee mobs that will follow targets both on land and in water. They will initially attempt to avoid getting into the water where possible, but will go in if they find no other path to their target.
They are aggressive, and will attack nearby players within 16 blocks without provocation. If attacked by another entity, they will retaliate and continue targeting that entity.
Staying outside of their targeting range will prevent them from attacking or targeting entities.
When running, Desert Chargers do not handle quick turning very well. They require a short distance to slow down, or to take a wide turn. This allows players more easily outmaneuver them.
Unique Abilities[ | ]
When a Desert Charger successfully attacks an entity, it will apply weakness 1 for 7.5 seconds.

Bestiary[ | ]
“ | The desert-evolved variant of Charger birds. Like all chargers, due to their high adaptability, they are adept at moving through their environment with their large legs. Unlike most other charger adaptions, the Desert Charger hasn't adapted their feathers and skin to match their environment. Instead, they usually appear different naturally due to sand, dirt, and dust being blended into their hair and covering their skin.
Like all chargers, these will aggressively attack by charging their bodies into the target at high speed and using their beak as a weapon. |
