Boss Information[edit | edit source]

Crystocore is the boss of Crystevia. He is very powerful, and can easily kill players not properly equipped to fight him. He is a large floating boss that can be spawned by using a Giant Crystal on a Power Station. Crystocore has the ability to change color. It has the Attribute of Gun Immunity.

Behavior[edit | edit source]

Crystocore provides debuffs to nearby player that lasts for 9 seconds. The type of debuff depends on Crystocore's current color, 6 in total:

  • Yellow = Weakness (2 Stacks)
  • Blue = Slowness (2 Stacks)
  • Purple = Blindness (3 Stacks)
  • Grey = Wither (2 Stacks)
  • Red = Nausea
  • Green = Poison (2 Stacks)

Strategies[edit | edit source]

If correct equipment is used, Crystocore can become easy to take out. Firstly, it is vital that the player brings a Web Staff to remove any debuffs Crystocore applies onto the player which may cause interference with the fight. These may include Blindness, Nausea or Wither.

If the player want to fight him with melee, bring a tanky set of armor such as Weaken or Baron armor as Crystocore does a considerable amount of damage, at least 1 and a half hearts of damage with regular diamond armour. Take a Kaiyu Staff in case he takes the player down too quickly or other mobs around the player interfere with the fight. With melee, the player can land many hits on Crystocore before he can damage the player once because his melee attack requires extremely close range, and the player can hold him back easily with a regular sword combined with the haste effect players are given once entering Crystevia. The effects that will bother the player with this strategy are weakness, blindness, wither and poison.

If the player prefer to fight with range, only weapon of option would be an archergun, as Crystocore has the attribute of Gun Immunity. It is strongly recommended to take Purity Armor as the player can increase damage done to Crystocore with the archergun and decrease the damage dealt to the player by projectiles from constructs of Range and Terror. Speaking of which, the player need to watch out for any nearby mobs whilst maintaining a safe distance from Crystocore, in which case the player still need a decent sword to fight them off. The player may need to clear off every debuff Crystocore applies onto the player with this strategy excluding slowness and weakness, as melee is not required as often.

Drops[edit | edit source]

Crystocore's drops are exclusive. That means the player will get only 1 of all posible items per kill, along with the respective statue of this boss.

When killed, this boss always drops its stone statue version.
