Clowns are hostile ranged mobs that spawn naturally in the Overworld.

Spawning[edit | edit source]

Clowns spawn naturally in all biomes in the Overworld.

They will only spawn under Y=50, and only in places with a light level lower than 8. Their spawning can be prevented by placing torches or other lighting blocks nearby to raise the light level above 7.

Behavior[edit | edit source]

Clowns are ranged mobs that will follow targets both on land and in water. Like most ranged mobs, they will try quite hard to avoid getting into water, but will do so if necessary. When attacking a target, they will either stand still or slowly follow at a distance while firing projectiles.

They are aggressive, and will attack nearby players within 24 blocks without provocation. If attacked by another entity, they will retaliate and continue targeting that entity.

Staying outside of their targeting range will prevent them from attacking or targeting entities.

Celeve Realmstone[edit | edit source]

If a Clown is killed by a player using a Lelyetian Greatblade and while carrying a Blank Realmstone, the player will have their Blank Realmstone converted into a Celeve Realmstone.

  • Clowns appear to use Confetti Cannons to shoot targets, despite them not normally being able to deal damage.
