Cane Bugs are aggressive melee mobs that spawn in Candyland.

Spawning[edit | edit source]

Cane Bugs spawn in Infested Candy Canes in Candy Land.

They will despawn if the player gets too far away from them, or if the difficulty is set to Peaceful.

Behavior[edit | edit source]

Cane Bugs are melee mobs that will follow targets both on land and in water. They will initially attempt to avoid getting into the water where possible, but will go in if they find no other path to their target.

They are aggressive, and will attack nearby players within 16 blocks without provocation. If attacked by another entity, they will retaliate and continue targeting that entity.

Staying outside of their targeting range will prevent them from attacking or targeting entities.

Healing[edit | edit source]

If a Cane Bug is standing in certain liquids, the Cane Bug will regenerate 0.4 (Heart.png×0.2) health per tick (8 (Heart.png×4) health per second). The liquid can be any liquid assigned a Water material in code, which includes Water and Candied Water.

Hunter Mob[edit | edit source]

Cane Bugs are Hunter creatures that can only be damaged if the player is at level 47 or higher. When killed, they will grant 280 Hunter xp.
