Version 2.3

Candyland is a dimension themed around candy.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Candyland is a very sweet but also rather crazy dimension. The Candyland Realmstone.png Realmstone for Candyland is dropped by Kokos, Chockos and Stickies, which all spawn in Celeve. When you enter Candyland you will receive a Regeneration II buff from Luxon. Building a shelter to protect you from the mobs is generally a good idea and is recommended unless the player has Explosive Armor or any armor that has very potent protection against explosive attacks.

What to bring[edit | edit source]

When you go to Candyland, it's a good idea to equip yourself with the following items:

ExplosiveArmorIcons.png - A full set of armor that grants immunity to explosions will protect you from many of the hostile mobs in Candyland. It can also be useful against the boss.

Void Bow.png - A potent long-ranged weapon. Airheads can fly, and other mobs like Gingerbirds are safer if dealt with at long-range.

Noxious Staff.png - Staves enchanted with the Archmage enchantment are useful for when planning to confront Cotton Candor.

Tablet of Resistance.png - Decent tablets.

HunterAtt.png - Your Hunter skill should be Level 55 or higher. This is required to defeat Cane Bugs, and in turn, summon and confront Cotton Candor.

HeadHunter.png - Any sniper rifle that deals more than 40 damage is heavily recommended as all of the naturally-spawning mobs (besides the Cherry Barrager) have 40 health or less. This is especially useful because the mobs all regenerate very quickly in water (which is very common in Candyland). Using such a sniper rifle on mobs in water, however, will kill them instantly as it takes away their health before they can regenerate.

Why come here[edit | edit source]

Candy Blade.png Sweet Sword.png - Better swords and better greatblades. The Sweet Sword has the strength of a Bloodstone Sword or a Crystallite Sword with an added effect.

SweetTooth.png - Stronger weapons like the Sweet Tooth or Mint Magnum.

Chocolate.png Dark Chocolate.png - The candy-like blocks that make up Candyland make for good decoration!

Candy Banner.png - Sweet banners.

Generation[edit | edit source]

Candyland's surface is covered with candy and sweets alike. The water here is very sticky, giving the player a brief Slowness debuff upon returning to land. There are no caves in this dimension.

Biomes[edit | edit source]

There are a total of 4 biomes in Candyland:

  • Candyland: The regular Candyland biome. Generates with massive candy canes, and cotton candy trees. Lots of candy-related foliage can be found here. The surface is made of Candied Grass. The lakes here are pink in color.
  • Chocolate Forest: A forest made of chocolate and dark chocolate. Chocolate-themed forestry can be found here. The ground is made of Chocolate Grass.
    The Chocolate Forest.
Rock Candy Hills: The ground here is made of Crystal Grass. Pools of crystallized water can be found about, and Rock Candy formations dot the landscape.

Survival Strategies[edit | edit source]

Candyland has some very dangerous mobs, the most notable being the Airhead, the Lollypopper, the Cherry Blaster, and the Cherry Barrager. Extreme precaution should be taken around these mobs, as they can easily kill the player and possibly destroy any dropped items. (The other mobs can generally be killed with a basic melee weapon.)

  • Wearing Explosive Armor is a good idea because Cherry Blasters and Cherry Barragers all fire explosive projectiles. Lollypoppers also explode upon death. Make sure to have a long-ranged weapon to take out Airheads. An alternative to Explosive Armor is building a quick shelter with a roof.
  • Airheads are less common as of version 2.4.B, and their projectiles no longer explode, but they are still dangerous. However, their health is extremely low, and one hit from virtually any ranged weapon (even early-game ones like the Brown Blaster) will kill them. Try to shoot ahead of where the Airhead is flying for best results. Ensure other mobs do not intervene when fighting the Airhead.
  • Lollypoppers are dangerous, as they explode on death. What's more, Airhead bullets deal enough damage to kill a Lollypopper in one hit, making it explode. These explosions can kill you and destroy your items. To defeat them, you can make a large pillar out of blocks and then hit them repeatedly with ranged attacks (however, this method may make you susceptible to Airheads). Take advantage of the fact that they heal in water to use high-knockback weapons such as the Moon Shiner without triggering their explosion.
  • Cherry Blasters are also very dangerous, as they shoot several exploding beams that are very likely to destroy the player's items - excluding the /keepAllInventory gamerule - due to their rapid-fire nature. Use ranged attacks to take them out. If one is in water, use a heavy-damage sniper rifle as it will heal from any attacks that don't kill it in one hit.
  • Cherry Barragers should be killed if possible (as they drop extra Candyland Realmstones and a Sour Candy), but they shoot explosive beams much faster than Cherry Blasters. Make sure there is a mob-free space from where the Cherry Barrager can be sniped down.
  • Gingerbirds spawn in large numbers so they can easily take you down if not properly equipped.
